In 2013, NPR Weekend Edition host Scott Simon tweeted during his mother’s final days in the ICU. Rob Redei was commissioned to compose a choral work based on those tweets. This is the second movement in the larger work, which sets the following tweet: My mother in ICU, sees Kate and Will holding a baby and tears: every baby boy is a little king to his parents. So I tear too.
